This past June, Microsoft announced the release of Windows 11, an updated operating system succeeding our dear friend Windows 10. Although Windows 10 was promised to be the final version of Windows, here we are.
Fortunately, so far, the response to Windows 11 has been mostly positive.
Some of the Windows 11 improvements include a fresh new user interface, smaller update sizes, faster web browsing, faster wake time from sleep mode, and faster Windows Hello authentication. However, Windows 11 isn’t perfect. The new operating system’s biggest reservation is its compatibility with older devices. Windows 11 requires relatively new hardware and will not install on older PCs. Click here to see the system requirements for Windows 11.
Windows 11 is said to be released later this year in new devices, however, devices already running Windows 10 won’t be able to install the updated OS until early 2022. Until then, enjoy your time with Windows 10. And if you do end up updating to Windows 11 and miss Windows 10, don’t worry, you’ll have 10 days to restore your system back.
