Cumberland Youth and Family Service have embraced the notion of meeting the needs of children, young adults, and families. Cumberland primarily supports youth in foster care, young adults aging out of foster care, and single-parent families. Located in Denton, Texas, they provide residential care, counseling, and supportive services that aim to uplift and empower youth in foster care, young adults aging out of care, and families in an innovative approach. They work hard to provide a comforting sense of normalcy for those that have been affected by things beyond their control because no one’s past should define who they are in the future.
The organization believes that positive transformation is possible when a person is surrounded by love and care. They thrive on developing a compassionate community for individuals who need a safe place to call home. Cumberland Youth and Family Service provide Shelter Services fulfilling basic needs for Youth who have been removed from their homes by CPS.
For the Month of March, Ighty Support has donated to Cumberland Youth and Family Service to help the youths in foster care. This donation will cover allowance for the cost of extra-curricular activities, and Sunday meals. For more information, click here.
