Bea’s Kids is a non-profit organization based out of Carrolton that aims to provide educational and personal development programs to children from low-income families. Its purpose is to serve communities to fight against hunger, illiteracy, school dropout, domestic strife, drugs, violence, gangs, and poverty in order to break the poverty cycle.
After discovering a small boy looking for food in the dumpster when she went to take out her trash, Bea Salazar began providing meals to kids in the area and eventually grew to provide help with homework. Through a combination of after-school programs and summer camps, Bea’s kids provide spaces for children to learn, have fun and prosper.
This month, Ighty Support has donated to Bea’s Kids to help fund Bea’s summer camp and future programs. Some of these expenses include field trips, meals, and transportation. If you’d like to learn more or contribute feel free to learn more in the link below!
