Adhesive-Mounted Hardware on a Glass Door

The existing access control reader wasn't bolted to the door. It was mounted with a strong adhesive strip, glued directly to the glass. That kind of install skips drilling into glass, but it means the whole system depends on how well that adhesive holds up over time. Removing hardware like that without cracking the door or leaving residue behind takes more care than a standard swap.
